A domain bursting with colour
In summer, the Château de Cheverny basks in the generous light of the Loire Valley. The gardens, beautifully blooming, offer an explosion of colours and scents. The paths invite you to stroll among vibrant flowerbeds and shaded vistas, where each step reveals a new harmony of plants.
A summer table in the large dining room
Inside, the large dining room is decorated with colourful summer decorations. The table setting showcases the art of French hospitality, with light and colourful compositions that evoke the conviviality of sunny days. This setting brings a touch of freshness and cheerfulness!
Exploring the wooded part of the park
To continue exploring the park, hop aboard electric carts and boats. Accompanied by a guide, you will first cross the wooded part of this peaceful area: the avenue of 157 Atlas and Lebanese cedars, lime trees, sequoias, Corsican and Calabrian Laricio pines, poplars and Douglas firs. Most of them were planted 150 years ago by Paul de Vibraye.
The route continues along the canal, lined with Louisiana bald cypress trees, whose roots spread out in the water.
In summer, this walk offers a moment of coolness and total escape, lulled by birdsong and the lapping of the water.
Gourmet delights at the Orangery
Summer is also the season for frozen treats. At the Café de l'Orangerie, visitors can enjoy a gourmet break with homemade ice cream, served in a bright and flower-filled setting. It's the ideal place to cool off while enjoying a leisurely lunch.
Visitor comfort in summer
To ensure that everyone can enjoy their visit to the full, the estate has several air-conditioned areas. The permanent exhibition "The Secrets of Marlinspike Hall" and the Orangery offer welcome coolness on the hottest days. In addition, misting stations are installed in the picnic area, in the shaded alley leading to the castle and in the flower garden, allowing visitors to cool off with ease.
Moulinsart: an adventure for all seasons!
The exhibition The Secrets of Marlinspike Hall immerses you in the heart of Tintin’s adventures.
Just like in The Secret of the Unicorn, you will find yourself in the château’s underground passages with Tintin.
After escaping, you will discover the different rooms of Captain Haddock’s residence — from the dining room of Marlinspike Hall to Professor Calculus’s laboratory.
