Dear visitors,

We are delighted to welcome you to the estate. Cheverny is a family-owned château that has been in our family for over six centuries. It is a vibrant place, shaped by history, which we are keen to share with you.

Here are a few tips for visiting during this heatwave: make the most of the estate’s two air-conditioned areas to cool off (the Orangery and the ‘Secrets of Marlinspike Hall’ exhibition), and there are several misting points available in the gardens and at the picnic area.

The Estate’s Six Themed Gardens

Monumental flowers

In the apprentice garden, giant poppies grow up to 3 metres tall. Further away, giant alliums enchant the lawns of the Orangery and transport you to a colourful world.

Equestrian show

⚠️ Due to the heatwave, the equestrian show is suspended. ⚠️ Every day, except Mondays in June (and Saturdays in July and August), a unique 45‑minute equestrian show takes you to the very heart of the art of dressage and the deep bond between humans and horses.
