Le château de Cheverny avec des oeufs de Pâques géants et colorés pour les vacances de printemps

The estate celebrates nature awakening

With the return of fine weather, the Château de Cheverny is adorned with colour and light.

The gardens come alive, the paths fill with vibrant shades, and the park regains all its vitality.

Spring is the perfect season to enjoy the gentle Loire Valley climate and discover Cheverny in a joyful, blossoming atmosphere.

The magic of tulips

For more than ten years, the hundreds of thousands of tulips that brighten the flowerbeds have become a true hallmark of the Château de Cheverny.

Each year, the floral display is exceptional: half a million tulips bloom in the gardens, forming two 250‑metre ribbons that wind their way up to the château.

This multicoloured carpet is guaranteed to amaze!

The perspectives of the park are transformed into living paintings — a delight for photography lovers.

This eagerly awaited flowering has become one of Cheverny’s major highlights of the year.

Easter decorations

Spring also means Easter!

The château and its gardens are dressed in festive, colourful decorations.

Giant eggs, mischievous rabbits and spring floral arrangements create a cheerful, family‑friendly atmosphere.

Inside, the richly furnished rooms host original displays celebrating the joy of nature’s awakening after winter.

Outdoors, the gardens become the creative playground of the National School of Florists: each year, students design new, colourful and surprising creations.

In May, thousands of alliums!

NEW

After the tulips, the ribbon changes décor: alliums take over!

For two to three weeks, these majestic flowers with their purple spheres extend the magic of spring.

Their graphic, elegant silhouette brings a contemporary touch to the gardens before summer arrives.

A gourmet break in the heart of the gardens

During your visit, enjoy a break at the Orangerie Café, which welcomes you in a bright, flower‑filled setting.

It is the perfect place for a sweet treat, facing the Jardin des Apprentis.

Decorated in spring colours, the Orangerie prolongs the experience in a warm and refined atmosphere.

Marlinspike Hall: an adventure for all seasons!

The exhibition The Secrets of Marlinspike Hall immerses you in the heart of Tintin’s adventures.

Just like in The Secret of the Unicorn, you will find yourself in the château’s underground passages with Tintin.

After escaping, you will discover the different rooms of Captain Haddock’s residence — from the dining room of Marlinspike Hall to Professor Calculus’s laboratory.
