On December ..., the château de Cheverny offers an unforgettable day: the estate and castle will be entirely decorated with giant decorations.
A few weeks before 24 December, Santa Claus and Mrs Claus will even take a break from their preparations to come to Cheverny! They will make a spectacular arrival, then travel with their elves to the trophy room in a horse-drawn carriage to meet the children.
Programme
• From 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.: The kiosk near the Orangery offers hot drinks (mulled wine, hot chocolate, etc.), soups and pastries throughout the day.
• 2:30 p.m.: On the north steps of the château (or in the Orangery, depending on the weather), the Île-de-France children's choir will sing Christmas carols from around the world.
• 4 p.m.: Spectacular arrival of Father Christmas.
• 4:45 p.m. in the Trophy Room: Accompanied by Mother Christmas and their elves, Father Christmas will visit the Trophy Room for a photo opportunity with the children.
• From dusk until 6:45 p.m. (exceptionally): illuminations in the gardens and video mapping on the château façade and trees.
• 5:30 p.m.: Ticket office closes.
• 6:45 p.m.: Estate closes.
Christmas at Cheverny Castle is more than a tradition: it has been an institution for 30 years!
The castle and the entire estate are richly decorated for this festive season, and don't miss the illuminations that begin at dusk: the Advent wreath and Christmas trees sparkle in front of the façade lit up in Christmas colours.
