Every night in November, the façade of the Castle is illuminated in blue.

For the ninth year running, Cheverny Castle is lighting up in blue to raise awareness about diabetes!

In November, the façade of the Château de Cheverny will be lit up in blue. Committed to the fight against diabetes, the Marquis and Marchioness of Vibraye are keen to raise awareness of this disease, which is still not talked about enough.

Diabetes is when you have too much sugar in your blood. In children, it is one of the most serious diseases. This autoimmune disease affects more and more children and adolescents. Despite advances in research, its causes remain unknown today.

"We are deeply committed to this cause, as all three of our children have had type 1 diabetes since they were very young. Our goal is to raise awareness among elected officials about this chronic disease. It is imperative to put an end to discrimination related to this disease, such as extra time during exams or competitions, or when applying for a driving licence, bank loans and insurance."
