A magical Christmas at the Château de Cheverny!
In the heart of the Loire Valley, the château de Cheverny invites you to experience a magical and traditional Christmas, where the magic of the festive season brings back childhood memories. Enhanced by decorations in every room and garden, Cheverny is the perfect destination for families and children looking for a moment of wonder.

Experience the magic of Christmas from December to the beginning of January. As every year, Christmas decorations will take over the premises, both in the gardens and each room of the château. And of course, the façade will be lit up to the colours of Christmas at nightfall!

For nearly 30 years, Cheverny has been celebrating Christmas with visitors. Every year, new decorations and displays welcome visitors to the gardens and all the rooms of the château, as well as the Orangery and the Trophy Room.
Decorations in every garden.
Christmas trees, giant baubles, gingerbread men and elves take over the gardens. The main driveway is lined with dozens of decorated Christmas trees leading up to the castle. In front of the entrance, a huge Advent wreath is installed and its giant candles are lit at nightfall. On the lawns, a giant Christmas tree stands 30 metres tall!
New this year, the Advent calendar takes the form of the House of Elves!

From late afternoon onwards, Christmas trees and giant light decorations light up the gardens, while the castle façade comes alive with an enchanting show of animated projections from 5.30 pm onwards. This year, the trees also come alive with light! This ballet of lights and colours will delight everyone and immerse you in the Christmas spirit with magical scenes combining poetry and tradition.
An experience not to be missed!
And while you wait for darkness to fall over the estate, during the school holidays (from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Saturday), a kiosk will be offering hot chocolate, mulled wine, soups, pancakes, waffles and more.
Visiting tip: come at the end of the afternoon and stay until 6.45pm to enjoy the illuminations.
Opening hours: last admission at 5pm (5.30pm during school holidays), the estate closes at 6.45pm.

⊕ 7 December: experience the magic of Christmas !
Santa Claus will be present at the estate, making a spectacular arrival to the delight of young and old alike! Then, a gift distribution and photocall will take place in the trophy room, in the presence of Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their elves. Everyone can warm up with homemade hot chocolate and mulled wine, before listening to the Île-de-France children's choir sing Christmas carols.
From 26 to 31 December, a musical show based on Rossini's opera ‘The Barber of Seville’.
