Dear visitors,

We are delighted to welcome you to the estate. Cheverny is a family-owned château that has been in our family for over six centuries. It is a vibrant place, shaped by history, which we are keen to share with you.

Here are a few tips for visiting during this heatwave: make the most of the estate’s two air-conditioned areas to cool off (the Orangery and the ‘Secrets of Marlinspike Hall’ exhibition), and there are several misting points available in the gardens and at the picnic area.

Monumental flowers

In the apprentice garden, giant poppies grow up to 3 metres tall. Further away, giant alliums enchant the lawns of the Orangery and transport you to a colourful world.
